How to Reach the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology:

The Campus South of KIT is situated within the city center of Karlsruhe and can easily be reached by public transportation or car. Information about travel data of the German Railway is provided by the Deutsche Bundesbahn (www.bahn.de). Participants coming to Karlsruhe from further afield have the possibility of flying to Frankfurt, Stuttgart or Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden. All these airports are well-located in terms of access to public transportation to Karlsruhe by train or bus (http://www.kit.edu/visit/arrival_plane.php).

Visas

Entry visas are required from some foreign citizens. Please, check with your travel agencies or with the consular offices of the German embassies whether you need a visa for Germany  (http://www.auswaertigesamt.de/EN/AAmt/Auslandsvertretungen/Uebersicht_node.html).

IUPAC sponsorship implies that entry visas will be granted to all bona fide chemists, provided application is made not less than three months in advance. If a visa is not granted one month before the meeting, the IUPAC secretariat should be notified by the applicant.
